Ole has no problem with Pogba TV spotlight
OLE Gunnar Solskjaer has no problem with Paul Pogba taking part in a documentary that is due to give an insight into his life on and off the pitch.
The United midfielder has signed a deal with Amazon Prime to film the documentary, which is due to air in 2022.
Pogba has been in outstanding form for United of late and he wore the captain’s armband for the first time in more than two years in the Europa League quarter-final second-leg win against Granada on Thursday night.
But his future remains unclear, with agent Mino Raiola saying in December that Pogba wanted to leave United. With his contract due to expire in the summer of 2022 the forthcoming transfer window could be the last opportunity United get to cash in on the World Cup winner.
Solskjaer praised his professionalism after handing him the captain’s armband on Thursday and the United boss has no issue with Pogba signing up with the broadcasters for a documentary on his life.
“Paul has been in the spotlight ever since he started at Man United, so I don’t see a problem with it,” said
Solskjaer. “Paul’s main focus is to get as much out of his career as possible. He wants to be the best player he can be and he wants to win as many trophies as possible.
“He has already won the World Cup and I can see his focus now is all about winning and playing the best possible football that he can.
“I know his personality. He is so lively. He gets energy from making people happy.”
