MANCHESTER CITY COUNCILTEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC124020716: The City of Manchester (Briscoe Lane, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2021 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Briscoe Lane from Grimshaw Lane to a point 110m south west of Grimshaw Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: 1. Briscoe Lane, Scotland Hall Road, Amos Avenue, Culcheth Lane, Assheton Road, Berry Brow, Clayton Bridge, Edge Lane, Bristowe Street, Ashton New Road, Alan Turing Way. 2. Briscoe Lane, Alan Turing Way, Hulme Hall Lane, Queens Road, Oldham Road, Ten Acres Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate bridge strengthening work. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 13th November 2021 to 14th November 2021 between the hours of 21:00 and 07:00. The order shall come into operation on the 13th November 2021 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) ORDER NO. MCC00010003 Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s) The City of Manchester (CORNELL STREET, ANCOATS & BESWICK) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2020 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit traffic on CORNELL STREET from Oldham road for a distance of 25m in a south easterly direction. The alternative routes for traffic will be:
1. Oldham Rd, Bengal St and George Leigh St. 2. Oldham Rd. Gt. Ancoats St and George Leigh St.
3. Cotton St, Blossom St, Bengal St and Oldham Rd. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate building construction. The duration of the works that have been in progress from 02-November 2020 has lengthened and therefore the Order will continue to 31- January-2022. The order came into operation on the 02-November-2020 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
