UNITED RATED

BY SAMUEL LUCKHURST

-

DAVID DE GEA

Made two decent saves at 0-0 and could do little about Wilfried Zaha’s goal. A stock performance.

DIOGO DALOT

Never comfortable against Wilfried Zaha and was easy prey for the opening goal. Not convincing enough.

VICTOR LINDELOF

No better than he was at Brighton. Defended feebly and his reading of the play was dreadful.

HARRY MAGUIRE

Not an authoritative enough return, although Palace did pick on United’s right-sided defenders.

ALEX TELLES

One of his more inoffensive performances and he was vocal enough with team-mates to confirm he at least cared.

SCOTT McTOMINAY

Failed to stamp his authority or exert any influence against Jeffrey Schlupp and Will Hughes in the Palace midfield.

FRED

Barely influential on his first start in six weeks. Tried to bring about a more progressive approach and was aggressive.

BRUNO FERNANDES

Repeated the mistake that played United into trouble at Watford and this time it led to a goal. Couple of attempts.

ANTHONY ELANGA

Scuffed a good chance wide and never really had the measure of Tyrick Mitchell. Struggled to retain ball.

HANNIBAL MEJBRI

His pressing forced two errors in the first 10 minutes but few team-mates were as intense. Booked for tangling with Zaha.

EDINSON CAVANI

Passed on one good shooting opportunity and was also denied by Guaita. Committed on the pitch but not off it.
