Parklife to paradise

TROLLED PROPOSAL COUPLE CHOOSE POTENTIAL DESTINATION FOR HONEYMOON ON FESTIVAL BOSS

- By KIT VICKERY

A YOUNG couple who got engaged on stage at Parklife have revealed they’re looking to honeymoon on a paradise island after festival boss Sacha Lord offered to pay for the trip.

Indy Geraghty, 23, and Myles Goodfellow, 25, hit headlines after Myles got down on one knee on the main stage at the Heaton Park festival during rapper Yung Filly’s set.

After they received vile comments about their happy moment, a disgusted Sacha tracked down the couple, from Galashiels in Scotland.

He gave them free access to Parklife and Warehouse Project for life and offered to pay for their honeymoon.

The childhood sweethearts have now revealed that the romantic Pacific island of Bora Bora is one of their potential honeymoon destinations.

The pair met at a house party and have been together for seven years.

Engineer Myles – known as Milo – had been trying to figure out the best way to pop the question for around a year before cafe manager Indy surprised him with Parklife tickets.

He said: “I only had about three weeks to prepare because she bought the tickets quite last minute. When she told me we were going to Parklife I thought ‘this is my opportunity.’”

Milo contacted Yung Filly’s management team, who quickly got back to him to say they were on board.

The couple are huge fans of the rapper, watching all his videos together.

He quickly brought the plan together, buying a ring and leaving it with best friend Jordan to get through security without Indy finding out.

Jordan also had the important task of giving them a reason to go up on stage, after Milo came up with the idea to surprising Indy with a fake meet and greet with the artist.

Clips of the proposal, and Indy’s shock and happiness to the surprise, quickly went viral, spreading through social media throughout the day. Indy said: “It was amazing, it’s a day I will never forget and a story we will be able to tell for life. I never ever expected him to propose in that way at all he’s not an out there kind of person so it was a massive shock! Completely out of my comfort zone but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

The pair were touched by Sacha’s offer to pay for their honeymoon, with Indy refusing to let the negative comments about the proposal get to her. They are now looking forward to planning their wedding, which Indy would love to see take place in a castle.
