CITY RATED
BY SIMON BAJKOWSKI
EDERSON
A routine save from Ben Pearson in the first half and that was it. Deserves credit for sticking around
KYLE WALKER
Tucked inside tidily alongside Rodri for much of the match, although didn’t make as much impact as he would have liked
RUBEN DIAS
Didn’t put a foot wrong at the back, but so little to do. Got in the way of an early Ake chance at the other end.
NATHAN AKE
Very good at both ends of the pitch, getting his team out of a few sticky moments and threatening at the other end
JOAO CANCELO
Pushed up high from the start and even further in the second half, with his trickery forcing the fourth goal
RODRI
Played with impeccable timing, nipping in to stop rare Bournemouth counters before they began
ILKAY GUNDOGAN
Another excellent performance from the skipper and he picked up where he left off with another significant goal
KEVIN DE BRUYNE
City’s best player. He looks as fresh as a beaming Pep Guardiola reckons he is and ran the show again
RIYAD MAHREZ
Stayed on the pitch for the 90 but will be disappointed not to have troubled the Bournemouth defence more
PHIL FODEN
Made up for spurning an easy chance and ended another productive 45 minutes with a goal and an assist.
ERLING HAALAND
Excellent work for the assist but will be disappointed not to have finished on the scoresheet himself
