“It’s surprisingly light. I was expecting it to be heavier plus I’ve got both feet on the ground. I like the authenticity and the uncluttered minimalism. The reason I got my first Royal Enfield was that it ticks a lot of the same boxes as the Harley but it’s a lot cheaper.”

“It looks really nice but they’re not really my sort of thing. I like sportsbikes and have had things like a TL1000R and GSX-Rs but I’m so old they’re a bit radical for me so I’m into sports tourers now. I’ve now got a Triumph. It’s also definitely a bit low for me. I’m 6ft 3in tall.”

“I love it, it’s beautiful. I even like the old graphics and the little screen. I was expecting a bigger frame than the 883 but all they’ve done is stick the 1200 in the 883 frame, although the bars are higher which makes it look roomier. But as a second bike, for that money, it’s great.”
