Snap up tickets to new Ally Pally Supersprint and Show

Star rider one-wheel race added to attractions

-

Carl Fogarty, John McGuinness, Chris Walker, Jamie Whitham and Dougie Lampkin will go-headto-head for a series of biking challenges at the new Devitt Ally Pally Show and Supersprint. The show, which takes place on September 22-23, features live demonstrations of amazing bikes on the Supersprint course as well as trade stands and a selection of 2018’s best bikes.

The centrepiece though, will be the competition between the superstar riders. Each will ride an identical Honda CRF100 and will compete in a series of challenges including timed side-by-side sprint racing, slalom competitions and a wheelie race.

The wheelie race is set to be the biggest crowd-pleaser. “That sounds like mega fun,” says Dougie Lampkin, holder of 12 World Trials titles and a man who last year wheelied a lap of the Isle of Man. “I’ll be looking to beat the other boys on that one. I’ve never wheelied a CRF so I might have to get some sneaky practice in. These events might seem like just a laugh, but I’m fiercely competitive and although there’s a bit of banter we all want to win. I might just have to bring along a proper wheelie bike as well and show them how it’s all done.”

The contest will be running three times a day at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and is included in the entry fee. All the riders will also be appearing during the day on the main stage as well.

More iconic display bikes confirmed

More historic machines will be on display, including Ian Simpson’s 1994 Duckhams Norton rotary that won the 1994 BSB title, John McGuinness’ TT Triumph that competed in the 2003 race and John Reynolds’ 2005 BSB Rizla Suzuki. The highlight is Steve Hislop’s full factory Honda Britain RC30, complete with a plethora of official trick parts.
