So glad I've kept my old FireBlade

- Adam Gell, email

I hear and read much about those who say 'I wish I'd never sold my (insert most missed bike here)' and I find myself nodding as I read. I too have sold a good few bikes I wish I'd kept, but in an unusual act of brilliance I kept the 1993 FireBlade I bought 20 years ago. It rides superbly and although other bikes have come and gone, I've always kept it. It's an old friend and with each ride I smile and realise how lucky I am to still have it. When electric bikes become mainstream, I will embrace the changes and enjoy hopefully what they bring. But not much is going to beat the soundtrack of the old Blade being opened up on a lonely road early on a sunny morning.
