Once the cutting-edge of sportsbike design, a good 750 is now a used bargain
Write a list of iconic bikes and see just how many 750s appear. Norton Commando, Honda CB750, Suzuki GSX-R, Ducati 750 F1, Honda RC30... and notice how they’re all at the sporty end of the spectrum. It could be that 750cc is the ideal sportsbike displacement. Nobody makes a 750 anymore, of course – but popularity from the mid-1980s to early 2000s means a huge selection of three-quarterlitre gems for not very much cash.
