KICK OFF 2021 WITH A SUZUKI

O Great new deals make Suzuki’s new V-twin range more affordable than ever

-

Suzuki have announced a new finance offer across their V-twin models to begin the New Year with some serious temptation. The legendary SV650 and both the V-Strom 650 and 1050 ranges are all included in the new deal, which sees the bike available at a very competitive 3% APR on both three-year PCP and HP agreements. And with a minimum deposit of just £300, you don’t need a huge stash of cash up front to get your hands on the latest Suzuki V-twins.

Naked ambition

One of the most popular bikes available on the new deal is certain to be the SV650 – the machine that has played a huge part in establishing the booming naked middleweight sector – along with its retro-themed sibling, the café racer-inspired SV650X. Both bikes use Suzuki’s character-packed and responsive 645cc V-twin, wrapped in a steel trellis frame equipped with KYB suspension and four-piston front brake calipers. The X sports clip-on handlebars and headlight cowling, plus a ribbed seat to complete the café racer aesthetics. Whether you’re a new rider looking for that ‘first big bike’ experience, or just someone for whom riding is about the simplistic joy of two wheels without all the frills and complexity of some current offerings – the SV is your perfect partner. Commute through town on the weekdays, revel in its sweet handling on B-roads at the weekend – and even take it on track and delight in the crisp V-twin’s surprising pace. It’s a fabulous performer.

Sit up, don’t beg

The offer also extends to the entire V-Strom stable, a range of models that have become the backbone of Britain’s everyday riders. For those who want a bit more grunt or favour longer rides, the V-Strom 1050 and more adventure-focused V-Strom 1050XT will be right up your street. And if you really want to go the distance and carry a tour’s worth of kit with you, the recently-announced V-Strom 1050XT Tour – which features three-piece aluminium luggage as standard – is the ideal buy-nowtour-tomorrow offering. Launched in 2020, the V-Strom 1050 gets the latest version of Suzuki’s 1037cc V-twin, but with power increased by 6.9bhp over its predecessor, and features a threestage traction control system and three selectable engine maps. The XT adds cruise control and IMU-governed ABS that responds to lean angle, pillion and luggage load as well as deceleration on inclines and descents. There are also two ABS modes and hill hold. Practicality comes as standard in the form of hand guards, centrestand, adjustable screen and adjustable seat, and both a USB and 12V power socket, while the Tour adds additional three-piece aluminium luggage, with 112 litres of storage space.

Bulletproof performance

If you don’t need the full thump of the 1050, the 650 should be on your test ride list. Long reputed as one of the best do-it-all roadbikes on the market, it blends comfort, practicality and frugality with a cheeky and bulletproof engine and engaging ride. Also available in two forms, the standard V-Strom 650 comes with cast wheels, while the more adventure-styled XT model gets spoked rims – just like its 1050 stablemate. Whichever of the V-twin models appeals the most – now is a great time to buy.
