EXPERIENCE THE FUTURE
O ‘Giving it a go’ is very much the mantra at e-bike firm Zero Motorcycles
The ‘Tesla of the motorcycle world’ has been very active this year in taking its bikes to the people. Zero’s Experience Electric tour gives riders the opportunity to sample an electric motorcycle for what might be the first time.
Experience Electric tour
Having started off in Scotland and ticking off London last month, the tour heads down south in July, taking in Hampshire, Brighton and Devon.
Experience Electric will then stop for two days at Fowlers Motorcycles in Bristol ahead of the unmissable Malle Mile event in Lincolnshire, where Zero say there will be some surprises in store. Speaking about the tour so far, Zero Motorcycles’ Dale Robinson said: “There’s been a real buzz around the tour this year, with record turnouts in Scotland and London. It’s great meeting with riders and giving them a chance to try out our bikes. It’s the best way to understand what electric motorcycles are all about and to overcome any prejudices, and I never get tired of seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces when they try our bikes out in Sport mode for the first time!”
Electric events
This leg of the 2021 Experience Electric tour includes Zero’s participation in the inaugural London to Brighton EV Rally, which will see hundreds of electric cars and motorcycles descend upon the seaside resort’s famous Madeira Drive. Zero will also be attending the Malle Mile which will this year be held at Grimsthorpe Hall in Lincolnshire. “Malle Mile is always one of the highlights of our year,” added Dale. “It’s a great fun event and as well as participating in the Electric Mile races we’re planning to showcase some cool custom Zeros, which will be making their first appearance here in the UK.” Zero’s Experience Electric days are free to attend and demo, but you’ll need to pre-register to guarantee a place.
