• New Tiger Sport 660 and Speed Triple 1200 RR set for Motorcycle Live debut
‘The 660 has the most power in its class’
If you’re itching to be one of the first to see the all-new Tiger Sport 660 and Speed Triple 1200 RR, then you’ll be stoked to hear that Triumph will be exhibiting both hot new models at Motorcycle Live at NEC Birmingham from December 4-12.
Tiger Sport 660
Triumph’s all-new Tiger Sport 660 is set to bring the manufacturer’s triple-powered character and advantage to the middleweight adventure-sports world.
The exciting new model is the most powerful bike in its class with 80bhp peak power at 10,250rpm and 47.2lb.ft peak torque at 6250rpm. It’s the first triple in the category with such a strong combination of low-down torque, strong mid-range and punchy top-end power – and it can also be A2 compliant with an accessory-fit conversion kit. The handling promises to be quintessentially Triumph with an agile, sporty ride, comfortable rider and pillion ergonomics and an 835mm seat height.
The 17-litre tank is ideal for long distances, and pannier mounts are standard as well as the heightadjustable screen. The electronic tech includes Road and Rain riding modes, LED lighting, and multi-functional instruments with a TFT display.
With the lowest service workshop cost in the category and Triumph’s impressive 10,000mile or 12-month service interval, you’ll have peace of mind on every ride, backed up by a two-year unlimited mileage warranty, which can also be extended. Available from February, you can snap one up from £8450.
Speed Triple 1200 RR
The new Speed Triple 1200 RR has been designed to reflect the UK automotive world’s proud tradition of combining distinctive British elegance with exhilarating real-world performance.
The unique cockpit makes the new bike stand out with new carbon fibre detailing and twin colour schemes. And the ride will be even more thrilling too with Öhlins Smart EC electronically adjustable semi-active suspension, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres, lightweight chassis, and a powerful Brembo linked braking system. The engine gets 179bhp peak power, 92.2lb.ft peak torque and has all the latest premium specification technology, too. The service intervals are 10,000 miles or every 12 months and the bike comes with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty. You can get your hands on the new Speed Triple in January with prices starting from £17,950.
Distinguished gents!
After becoming the official partner for the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride in 2014, Triumph have announced that they plan to continue the partnership for another five years.
The renewal of this important partnership represents a natural continuation of what has been a great success story, both from the perspective of raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health issues, but also in the incredible participation and the riding community the event has generated for hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists worldwide. After all, who doesn’t want to dress dapper and ride for a good cause?
