Rev ’it Royale H2O boots, £199.99
Tested by Andy Davidson Time tested Two months/1000 miles What’s good? Apparently these are motorcycle boots! But they don’t look like them, they’re super-stylish, really well made, lightweight and sophisticated – unlike most casual bike footwear. I wear them to the pub, to restaurants and out with my mates and they look better than most of their shoes. But they also come with full ankle protection, full-grain cowhide, heel and toe protection and a patch to protect against wear from the gear lever. They’re also waterproof and the liner helps draw out moisture to keep my feet dry on hot days. These are the full package – quality motorcycle boots cleverly disguised as smart, classy footwear and I think they’re brilliant. What’s not? It’s hard to find fault but if I had to be picky, the fastening Velcro strap which fastens over the lace could be a tad longer for a looser fit around the bottom of my calf.
