Armour specialists Forcefield have improved their range of windproof mid-layers with the revamped Tornado Advance. It features the windproof, water-resistant and breathable Defender material to block out wind and small water leaks that might creep past your outer jacket. That’s backed up by Thermolite, a breathable thermal material, to keep the rider warm in the coldest conditions. Forcefield promise improved fit over the previous models and the shirt is joined in the range by trousers (£39.99), gloves, balaclava and neckwarmer (£16.99 each).
