A wet weekend in the desert…

Biblical levels of rain struck the Losail circuit over the final two days of action, flooding out Saturday’s qualifying sessions and forcing a series of will they, won’t they delays on Sunday. A deluge on Friday night left parts of the circuit under water and led to the scrapping of Saturday’s qualifying with Race Control ordering grids to be set on free practice times. The bad weather then again reared its ugly head on Sunday as the MotoGP field lined up on the grid, with a string of Light showers pushing back track action until over an hour later than originally planned.
