Murray Walker was right
I really enjoyed your tribute to John Surtees (MCN, March 15) and would like to echo the statement made by Murray Walker that it is a travesty that Surtees was never awarded a knighthood. If not for his achievements in motorsport than for his charity work with the Henry Surtees Foundation, following the tragic death of his son at only 18 years old. Surely, no-one has given more to motorsport. It’s too late now, but I will forever think of John when I see a ‘brave’ footballer collect one in the future for achievements in their sport and services to charity! Mike Wahington , Stoke
