Don’t knock Scott

I’ve got to take issue with the comments about Scott Redding (MCN Letters, July 12). MotoGP is still the pinnacle of bike racing – and Scott has won GP races on a 125 and Moto2 bike. I’m not dissing the achievements of all the Brits in World Superbike and Supersport, but I’m sure if you asked them if they’d like a GP victory, you’d get a ‘yes’. OK, I’ll admit, I’m a snobby, elitist MotoGP anorak – but if you ask the most wonderful Neil Hodgson the WSB v MotoGP question, he would say he’d love to have won in the GP class. If Scott doesn’t want to go to WSB – good on him.
