Suzuki GSX-R1000
Claimed power 160bhp Claimed weight 170kg The reality The K1/K2 was the first big-bore GSX-R since the demise of the GSX-R1100 in 1998. Like the 954, it still looks fresh and rides brilliantly. Watch out for Sticky EXUP valves, gearbox problems, frame covers hiding bent spars Pay £2000 for a dog, £3500 for a future classic.
Kawasaki ZX-9R
