These are the black-only, waterproof version of the excellent RT-Race boots, and share the same squeaky Double Flex Control architecture and fit as the pure racing boot. There are no interior laces on the WP version so you lose a little snugness around the ankle and, like many armoured TCX boots, they feel a bit stiff on first wear. On the bike though, they give reliable footpeg grip and good feel. My first WPs, although showerproof, became fully wet inside after two hours of continuous rain. TCX said my boots had experienced a rare fault whereby the membrane was not properly stitched to the upper. This replacements are yet to experience a prolonged downpour.
