These are packed with neat touches, including a leather tab to pull the tongue up from the inside and a Velcro tab on the end of the zip to keep it in place once done up. There’s also a neat Boa lacing system. Turn the ratchet knob on the back of the calf and you can get the tension spot on with no trouble at all. They are made from a combination of Kevlar-backed Kangaroo leather (perforated for cooling) and hard plastic protection. All the ventilation means that they are very much fine-weather boots but they are comfortable and make you feel well protected when out on the road or track.
