GP legends at Silverstone

The Silverstone Classic meeting, which features the World GP Legends parade will feature four world champions. Wayne Gardner (1987 500GP champion), Phil Read (seven 125, 250 and 500GP titles), Christian Sarron (1984 250GP champ) and Freddie Spencer (the only man to win a 250 and 500GP title in the same year) will headline the riding line-up.

The event, which takes place on the Silverstone GP circuit, is part of a classic F1 and sportscar racing weekend. Gardner co-ordinates the motorcycling side of the event. He said “The Classic always attracts vast crowds, now including an ever-increasing number of very knowledgeable bike fans. We love putting on a dramatic track show for them.” The event takes place on July 20-22.
