THE INSIDE STORY
Tube work 1
Lengths of 1.5in mild steel tube is the raw ingredient for the chassis and frames of all Watsonian-Squire sidecars. The tubing arrives in raw lengths and is cut and bent on site.
Machining 2
Another key task is machining parts for the sidecar chassis and the clamps for the fitting kits.
Welding 3
Chassis tubes are clamped into a purposebuilt jig for each model then welded in place.
Getting it together 4
All assembly work is also done on-site by Watsonian’s small but dedicated eight-strong team. Fitment to the customer’s bike usually takes three days, but can be longer depending on the model.
Final touches 5
The screen comes in high or low options and customers can also specify a hood for all-weather sidecar fun.
100% British 6
The fiberglass shells are made in Redditch and the wheels are supplied by Hagon. Everything else is done on-site.
