Moffat loop, 43 miles

Leave Moffat on the A708 north towards Dumfries and Galloway. Ride along St Mary’s Loch for a couple of miles before heading left. Then skirt Megget and Talla reservoir as the sweeping roads assault the senses. When you reach Tweedmuir, turn left onto the A701 and head back to Moffat. The Buccleuch Hotel in Moffat is bikerfriendly and well worth using as a base to explore longer routes.
