Although only an incremental improvement over the café racer version, the standard replacement seat has actually made enough of a difference to transform the SV from ironing-board painful to everyday comfortable for normal day-to-day riding. I still wouldn’t fancy a long trip anywhere on it, though. You do lose some of your style points, but that’s a fair price for improved usability. And after all, you can’t see it when you’re sitting on it.
