I was a little apprehensive as to just how waterproof it would be but after two winters’ worth of use, it hasn’t let me down once. At 40 litres, it almost feels bottomless but the different compartments can be quite tricky to get to. Adjustable straps mean it can be extended to fit over even the thickest of textile jackets and there’s a clip to link the two straps together for extra security.
