The symptoms Throttle is hesitant at low revs. Dr Know prescribes When you replace the stock silencer with an aftermarke­t item you are changing several things at once, not all of which are obvious. The important thing to know is that you have changed the way the bike releases exhaust gases from the engine and by changing a silencer you affect the combustion process by disrupting the internal back pressures and acoustics. Take advice from a local dyno operator, as they will be able to pinpoint the problem and, more importantl­y, offer a solution. The fix usually involves fitting a secondary fuelling module called a Power Commander.
