SUPERSPORT RACE 1

-

1st Michael Dunlop MD Racing Honda

Most big-name riders spent their time in practice week perfecting their 220bhp superbikes, so we weren’t able to get a glimpse of form in the Supersport class until the first race. While Dean Harrison took an early lead, a new lap record on lap two for Michael Dunlop of 129.197mph saw him build enough of a gap to be unchallenged by the Kawasaki star in the final stages of the race. This duo were in a class of their own with everyone else left to battle for third with the honours eventually going to Peter Hickman on the Trooper Triumph ahead of James Hillier in fourth. Conor Cummins completed the top five.
