Take her to the bar

-

Did you know that chocolate can increase sex drive as well as make you smarter and faster?

It might seem a stretch to say that running and chocolate have anything in common, unless you do one so you can eat the other. But new research suggests eating chocolate elicits the same feelgood endorphin rush as a run – and make sure you share your bar with your lover if you want to take your next workout into the bedroom. Women who eat chocolate daily have higher levels of sexual desire than abstainers because it releases endorphins and the happiness hormone serotonin, as well as containing a compound called phenylethylamine, a known aphrodisiac, and other compounds that heighten sensitivity, according to a study published in the journal Food Research International. Still need convincing that it’s worth buying a bar or two? Chocolate also makes you smarter as well faster. In a study in the journal Appetite, subjects who were fed either milk or dark chocolate showed better problem-solving abilities and faster reaction times than those who weren’t.
