Taking your training outside will help beat gym boredom, reinvigorate your gains and improve your mental health and wellbeing, according to an analysis of 11 trials involving more than 800 people which was published in the journal Environmental
Science And Technology. It found that subjects who exercised in the great outdoors reported an improved sense of wellbeing compared with training inside, as well as an increase in energy levels, greater enjoyment and satisfaction from their workout, and a heightened likelihood of repeating the activity soon.
