Floral Tribute

-

Let’s dispense with the oldest clichés first: flowers are not for girls. “Nonsense!” says Mairead Curtain of east London florist Rebel Rebel. “Men have always worn floral prints, the Tudors especially. Some of our most renowned garden designers have been men, too, so equating flora with effeminacy is just plain wrong.” Laura Robertshaw, menswear buyer at the famously frilly department store, Liberty, agrees: “We’ve seen a massive rise in the more flamboyant side of men’s fashion recently, but even the most garish of Hawaiian shirts can be toughened up with a great biker jacket and some slim black jeans.” In short? It’s time for you to man up.
