To arm Cav­ill for Jus­tice League, his trainer Michael Blevins cranked up the ac­tor’s meta­bolic de­mands with “awk­ward” strong­man moves. The goal? To cut all that was un­nec­es­sary – fat and bulk, yes, but also sets, reps and weight pro­gres­sions. “It’s not about go­ing through the mo­tions, but de­cid­ing who you are,” says Blevins.
