To arm Cavill for Justice League, his trainer Michael Blevins cranked up the actor’s metabolic demands with “awkward” strongman moves. The goal? To cut all that was unnecessary – fat and bulk, yes, but also sets, reps and weight progressions. “It’s not about going through the motions, but deciding who you are,” says Blevins. In Cavill’s case, that was “the best Superman to date”.
