Rather than finishing each session with a shoulder roll and a flex of the wrists, try this. After you have exhausted your tris, lie on a bench and lower two heavy dumbbells to a position that fully stretches the muscles and hold for 60 seconds. This loosens the fascia – the “sheath” surroundin­g them – which a Journal of Applied Physiology study found can increase growth.
