MAGGOTS IN MEXICO

Slipknot will unleash their new concert film in theatres around the world for special, ‘one night only’ screenings. The movie, Day Of The Gusano, charts the metal titans’ first ever gig in Mexico, which took place in Toluca in December 2015 at a special edition of Knotfest. It promises to showcase the sheer passion and intensity of the Mexican maggot family, as well as remind everyone of the force of nature that the ’Knot are when they take to the stage.

“You’ve got your full concert,” reveals Clown. “But then we got so many stories out of the people there. We got this story of a kid who had to sell his car to get tickets. I just thought that’s way too much dedication. And then there’s another kid who is fascinated with our art and the darkness of Slipknot and how it felt. He wanted to know if there was anything he could do in life and go and study, because music wasn’t going to be his thing. So he found forensic files on homicides, going in and working with blood and maggots, so now he’s gone to school and college and stuff like that. There’s a lot of that kind of stuff – kids being interviewed and just talking.
