ROADBURN FESTIVAL HAS a habit of hosting one-off, collaborative performances that feel like reverberating, seismic events. But even amidst the 2014 tribute to The Devil’s Blood mastermind Selim Lemouchi and 2018’s fusion of Oranssi Pazuzu and Dark Buddha Rising as The Waste Of Space Orchestra, 2019’s performance of Requiem by Triptykon and the Netherland’s Metropol Orkest felt so historically weighty it carried its own gravity field. Tom G Fischer’s soul-juddering masterpiece has now been given the full box set treatment. The piece itself is available on both red vinyl, CD and DVD, an there’s also a seven-inch featuring a rehearsal track. You’ll also find a hardback, 24-page artbook, 60-page score, three posters, an extra art print and a photocard to boot.
