£20 off energy bills in push to go greener

HOUSEHOLDS will save about £20 a year in the energy watchdog’s £25billion package to make the industry greener and more efficient.

Ofgem will halve the rate of return firms can take from their investments next year, meaning less of consumers’ money will go towards companies’ profits, and more towards driving network improvements.
