The Unmute: The Online Podcast Festival gives fans a chance to get a bit closer to the chat action. Instead of just listening to an edited version of a witty conversation, you’ll have access to a live video of the fun.
Tonight (9pm) is The Blindboy Podcast, hosted by one of the musical comics the Rubberbandits. Blindboy takes on a range of subjects, including mental health matters. Comedian Fern Brady will be his guest. Tomorrow (7pm) it’s Cuddle Club With Lou Sanders, the former Taskmaster winner. She likes talking to funny folks about relationships, and her guests for this outing are Sara Barron and Geoff Lloyd.
There’s plenty to choose from on Saturday. First up is Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster (4pm), followed by The Bugle (7pm), Andy Zaltzman’s popular show that’s packed with comedy, satire and wordplay. His guests are Nish Kumar and Alice Fraser. Also on Saturday (9pm) is Films To Be Buried With where comedian, actor and writer Brett Goldstein talks to a guest about the films that have shaped their lives. Previous guests have included Sharon Stone and Ricky Gervais and tomorrow’s is Alistair Green, currently one of the best things about Twitter. You can also find recordings of podcasts live-streamed earlier in the week, such as Adam Buxton, with his guest Suzi Ruffell; Black Gals Livin’, in which Jas and Vic talk about pop culture, mental health and more; Nobody Panic, Stevie Martin and Tessa Coates’s fantastic look at how to be grown-up; and The Froth, with husbandand-wife team Rhod Gilbert and Sian Harries, with guest Lloyd Langford.
