Lockdown has suited the cult star of Limmy’s Show – it was the perfect time to swap TV for Twitch to address his struggles with anxiety and depression, spend more time with family and gain freedom from pesky TV execs. And it seems to be paying the bills – there appears to be no end of love for the Scottish comedian’s ‘good auld chatter and good auld trucking’ – yes, his virtual lorry simulator game rolls on like a juggernaut. James Acaster, king of the Netflix special, recorded this exquisite live show at EartH in Hackney last year. Now, it finally gets its much-delayed release (thanks, Covid), and if you’ve yet to catch it, you really must. An enthralling warts-and-all confessional, this compares the best year of his life (1999) with the worst (2017), when he got dumped by his agent, and dumped by his girlfriend – for Rowan Atkinson. 8pm, tonight, dice.fm
KEITH LEMON’S DAFT GAMES NIGHT
Armchair TV gameshow fans still stuffed with turkey should remain seated no longer – in this virtual, interactive show, Celebrity Juicier Leigh Francis is presenting a series of challenges from his own back garden for viewers to participate in, and somehow, there’ll be prizes.
