A ticket to bride! Macca’s ex-wife Heather ‘engaged’
HER bitter divorce from Sir Paul McCartney hit the headlines... but at last Heather Mills seems ready to Let It Be.
Heather, 5 , is said to be engaged to toyboy Mike Dickman, 6, who she met on a train 18 months ago.
They reportedly exchanged commitment rings shortly before Christmas, 1 years after her acrimonious divorce from Sir Paul, 78.
Dickman, who works in sports television, sees their exchange of rings as an ‘informal engagement’, and they are in no rush to marry, it is claimed.
‘Heather and Mike are incredibly happy. It’s so good to see a smile on her face again after a turbulent few years,’ a source told The Sun.
‘They’re completely in love. Heather has told pals he’s the love of her life whilst, for his part, Mike adores her and is completely devoted... their 17-year age gap really isn’t an issue.’
The couple met on a train journey between Kent and London, when Heather – who was travelling with her daughter Beatrice, 17 – slipped Mike her business card with a note saying: ‘I think you’re hot. Email me.’
The model turned businesswoman split from the Beatles legend in 2008, after four years of marriage. Heather was seeking a £125million settlement, but a High Court judge awarded her a fifth of that sum – £24. million. She was also awarded yearly payments of £ 5,000 to cover Beatrice’s nanny and education.
Mr Justice Bennett labelled her a ‘less than impressive witness’, who had exaggerated the extent of her wealth before she met Sir Paul.
