Trump: I’ll beat Democrats a third time

-

BEATEN Donald Trump has hinted he will run for president again in 2024 – and not by forming his own party.

He told a right-wing rally: ‘With your help we will take back the house, we will win the senate and then a Republican president will make a triumphant return to the White House. I wonder who will that be? Who, who, who will that be, I wonder.’

Mr Trump repeated election fraud claims during a 90-minute speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Florida. ‘This election was rigged. And the supreme court and other courts didn’t want to do anything about it,’ he said. The crowd shouted: ‘You won! You won!’

Mr Trump, who left office six weeks ago, insisted: ‘Joe Biden has had the most disastrous first month of any president in modern history.’

Although the Democrat’s approval rating is 50 per cent – higher than Trump ever achieved – he criticised new US border policies, and said: ‘They just lost the White House. But who knows, I may even decide to beat them for a third time.’ He also hit out at Republican senators who had supported his impeachment after riots at Capitol Hill on January , thundering: ‘Get rid of ’em all.’

But he insisted: ‘We’re not starting new parties. We have the Republican Party. It’s going to be united and be stronger than ever before.’

The White House said afterwards: ‘President Biden is going to remain laser-focused on crushing the virus, re-opening schools, and getting Americans back to work.’
