Caught on camera: Moment murderer screamed for lover she had just knifed

- By JACK EVANS

drives past where I’m walking and projects the remains of a Chinese takeaway out on to the street. I choose to calmly pick it up, keep on walking to the car – now at a stop sign – and tip it on them through the open roof.

On reflection, I could have put myself in danger but for that one moment it was worth it to see these inconsiderate louts drenched in sweet and sour sauce. Jon, Glasgow

Like many people, my wife and I have been doing a lot of local walks during lockdown. One thing has become clear from these local adventures and that is that litter is a national disgrace. Many of our local beauty spots are spoilt by wanton acts of littering and fly-tipping. Mr Campbell has our full support. What is so difficult about taking your litter home with you and disposing of it properly there?

Keith, West Yorkshire

I live on an estate and litter-pick every day. I don’t buy litter bags. I ask neighbours and friends to give me old sacks and carrier bags.

I do a different circular walk a day that usually takes me an hour. I could fill at least five bags a day but just carry two. A number of people pass me and when I say good morning, they look at me oddly, ignore me or make comments like: ‘That’s not your job, it’s the council’s.’ My answer is, no, the council provides bins, the people don’t use them. The black/green/ whatever-colour dog mess bags littering the streets or hung on trees are disgusting. We have a small park near us and the food waste in this area is disgusting. I have found handbags, wallets, clothing, odd shoes (never a full pair yet), drug equipment. It is baffling.

VIDEO footage has captured the grisly performance of a killer girlfriend as she screamed and sobbed after stabbing her partner to death.

The sham display by 28-year-old Emma-Jayne Magson was put on for police officers as they arrived at the scene of her gruesome crime.

She plunged a steak knife into James Knight’s heart following a drunken night out in Leicester – then waited 45 minutes to dial 999.

Magson is seen telling officers who arrived at the scene: ‘We had a fight but he seemed fine. He was breathing heavily but he was still alive.’

In the bodycam footage released by Leicestershire Police, she then appears to become more agitated as she screams: ‘I don’t care, just get my boyfriend out,’ before adding: ‘I don’t care as long as he is alive.’

Magson can then be heard sobbing as she bangs on the front door and says ‘I want my boyfriend’ and ‘James, come on’.

Earlier, she told call handlers that 26-year-old Mr Knight (pictured) had collapsed and when an operator warned her the ambulance might be delayed, she calmly replied: ‘No, that’s fine, don’t worry about it.’

She also said: ‘I just think he’s too smashed,’ after claiming he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The binman died from a single stab wound after being attacked with the 4.5in-long blade on March 27, 2016.

Magson was found guilty of murder on Friday following a retrial. She claimed she had acted in self-defence when she was jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years in 2016. Court of Appeal judges ruled that a defence of diminished responsibility should have been made available to her but she was convicted of murder again after a second trial at Birmingham crown court.

Det Insp Kenny Henry said: ‘The evidence against Magson continued to be

overwhelming and the fact she has been convicted a second time just confirms that.’

Magson, from Leicester, will be sentenced on March 29.
