WHAT TO CATCH THIS WEEK

- KW

INVINCIBLE

Combine comic book legend Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, and a voice cast that includes JK Simmons, Zachary Quinto, Mahershala Ali, Seth Rogen and Mark Hamill, and you get this epic superhero adventure (right). The somewhat lesserknown Steven Yeun is the voice of troubled teen Mark Grayson, a likeable lad fretting that he won’t live up to the exploits of his dad, the all-conquering Omni-Man. But if he doesn’t, it’s the end of the world as we know it. First three (hour-long!) episodes available Friday, then new episodes weekly.

HAUSEN

Everyone loves a haunted house story and this German entry (right) into that familiar genre pulls out all the stops to well and truly put Der Wind (that GCSE wasn’t wasted) up us. There are bloody skulls, a scary baby and scenes so dark you might want to shine a torch at the screen. And there’s something about lines whispered in Deutsch that makes the hairs stand up on the back of Der Hals. Episodes one and two available Friday.

THOU SHALT NOT KILL

If you like your detectives moody, self-doubting and able to pull off a range of grey knitwear while looking ineffably chic, then Valeria Ferro, played by Miriam Leone (below), is your woman. The mean streets of Turin are Valeria’s beat and she’s back for a third series of twisted tales in a city shot in various states of shabby industrial despair. Kind of the opposite to Montalbano. Series three available Friday.
