MORGAN DISMISSES BERESFORD AS A STAND-IN AND SAYS REID DISAPPOINTED HIM
PIERS MORGAN has had a dig at his former Good Morning Britain co-hosts following his acrimonious departure from the ITV show last month.
The 56-year-old said he was ‘disappointed’ with fellow presenter Susanna Reid and dismissed Alex Beresford (pictured) as a ‘stand-in weather guy’.

But speaking to controversial rightwing Fox News host Tucker Carlson, he said he had been right about the Oprah interview as 17 claims made by the couple had been ‘proven to be either completely untrue, or massively exaggerated, or unprovable’.
Morgan said Beresford is ‘not a journalist’. Asked about Reid apologising for his comments, he said: ‘I was disappointed, but she might have done it in the grip of fear.’
