TODRICK IS A HUGE FAN AFTER SHE ATTACKED HER DAD’S GAY SLUR
ATT DAMON’S daughter has replaced her dad as a superstar, says Drag Race fave Todrick Hall.
However, the gay US TV host doesn’t think Matt’s career should be cancelled after the Bourne actor admitted he only recently stopped using the homophobic term ‘f****t’ – following a dressing-down at the dinner table from his daughter.
Exclusively giving his reaction to Guilty Pleasures, Taylor Swift’s bezzie Todrick said the incident ‘makes his daughter look like a superstar’, adding: ‘I want to know who she is. I want to follow her and be a fan of her.
‘We need more people in this world like Matt Damon’son’s daughter who are going to stand up to their parents and tell them what they are doing is wrong.’
He added: ‘I would love a lot of people to do what Matt
Damon’s daughter did. Make the familyy dinner uncomfortablee so the rest of the world can be more comfortable.’
But although Todrick, 36, was ‘appalled’ by Matt’s confession, he said: ‘Cancel culture is beautiful in some ways because it holds people accountable.
‘But sometimes it can get a little out of hand. I hope this isn’t the end of anyone’ss career because they said something that was offensive bbebehind closed doors. ‘Matt DDamon is not the problem with our sosociety. The fafact that people tataught the Matt Damons across the world that thathat was acceptablep behabehaviouraviour is the biggest problem. ‘I aam never going to be a fan of someone’s hard work for years and years being stripped away because they are making human mistakes.’
As for Matt, 50, he has now apologised and clarified his comments, made to The Sunday Times. ‘I have never called anyone ‘f****t’ in my personal life and this conversation with my daughter was not a personal awakening,’ he said. ‘I stand with the LGBTQ+ community.’
