Oh brother! Markle starts BB stint with pop at ‘shallow’ Meg
THE Duchess of Sussex’s half-brother has announced himself on Australia’s Big Brother VIP by boasting about his warning to Prince Harry against tying the knot with ‘shallow’ Meghan.
Thomas Markle Jr lashed out at the 40-year-old ex-actress as he prepared to join the likes of Caitlyn Jenner as a housemate in the reality show.
In a trailer for the programme, he says: ‘I’m Meghan Markle’s brother. I’m the biggest brother of them all.
‘I told Prince Harry, “I think she’s going to ruin your life. She’s very shallow”.’
Markle Jr shares the same father, Thomas, as Meghan and was not at the royal wedding in 2018. Before the event, he wrote an open letter to the prince, published in the media, that said it should be cancelled as it would ‘make a joke’ out of the monarchy. He called his half-sister a ‘jaded, shallow and conceited woman’.
He also wrote: ‘It becomes very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.
‘Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you. I’m confused why you don’t see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees.
‘Meghan’s attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old.’
Accusing her of letting ‘a tiny bit of Hollywood fame’ go to her head, he concluded: ‘Meghan is still my sister. Whether she wants to forget knowing me or the rest of her family, family comes first. Also, you would think that a royal wedding would bring a torn family closer together, but I guess we’re all distant family to Meg.’
