Stormy sticks by account of sex with Trump
STORMY DANIELS has denied fabricating a sexual encounter with Donald Trump as she was cross-examined in the ex-US president’s ‘hush money’ trial.
The porn star – real name Stephanie Clifford – has told a court in New York about a 2006 encounter in a Lake Tahoe hotel room, which Trump denies ever happened.
His lawyers have sought to paint the 45-year-old as a liar and extortionist who is trying to take down the tycoon after drawing money and fame from her story about him.
Earlier this week, Daniels told the court that during the encounter Trump greeted her in satin pyjamas, told her she reminded him of his daughter and allowed her to spank him with a business magazine.
Referring to her career as an adult film actress, writer and director, Trump’s lawyer Susan Necheles asked: ‘You have a lot of experience in making phoney stories about sex appear real?’
Daniels retorted: ‘The sex in those films is real, just like the sex in that room.
‘The character themes might be different, but the sex is very real. That’s why it’s pornography, not a B movie.’
Trump denies 34 counts of falsifying business records, including to cover up a payment of $130,000 to Daniels in the run-up to the 2016 election to buy her silence. The trial continues.
