-

Alert goalkeeping in a game in which he wasn’t really tested. Reliable when called upon.

Marc Cucurella- 7

Defended well, getting back to stop a Spurs counter with Harry Kane, and covered to nick the ball away from the Spurs striker shortly after just yards out from goal as the striker was about to shoot.

Lewis Dunk- 7

A strong presence at the back for Brighton, commanding his defence to another clean sheet. Dealt well with the Spurs threat, limiting them to few chances.

Joel Veltman- 8

Made numerous blocks, a rock at the back for Brighton. A great tackle on Kane in the box just as the striker was about to pull the trigger, and a good block to stop a Son effort made sure the Seagulls left with a clean sheet.

Pascal Gross-5

Struggled to get in the game, and consequently was unable to affect the play. Didn’t see a lot of the ball.

Tariq Lamptey- 7

A threat down the right side, able to find space and whip in tempting crosses. Did well defensively to deal with Son, and showed great composure when defending to nod the ball back to Sanchez under pressure from Reguilon behind him.

Moises Caicedo- 6

Worked hard next to Bissouma in midfield but didn’t have the same presence. Generally solid, and haggled the Tottenham midfield.

Yves Bissouma- 8

Was an assured presence in the Brighton midfield, reading the game well, breaking

Enock Mwepu- 5

Unable to follow up his great display against Arsenal, and was lucky to escape being sent off. A flurry of fouls whilst already on a yellow card should have seen him exit the field, with Graham Potter sensibly deciding to substitute him at half time.

Alexis Mac Allister- 6

Tried to create when on the ball but didn’t really see too much of it, and struggled with the lack of chances being created. His only chance was a wayward effort on the edge of the box.

Leandro Trossard- 8

Took his goal really well, scooping the ball past the Spurs defence and then prodding past Hugo Lloris. Worked hard for the team, and contributed defensively, tracking back to block a goal bound Heung-Min Son effort, vital in stopping Spurs taking the lead.

Danny Welbeck- 7

Was a nuisance for the Spurs defence after coming on, working really hard to press them. Had limited chances, one header that went over the bar was the only one of real quality.

Adam Lallana- 6

Limited minutes meant the midfielder couldn’t make a huge impact on the game, but was solid in possession and worked hard to help see the game out for Brighton.

Solly March- 6

One real impressive moment, dancing down the right hand side and firing in a dangerous cross which was headed away by Romero just moments after coming on.
