Pulled off an acrobatic save from a close range Edinson Cavani header to keep his clean sheet intact, followed by a good stop against Bruno Fernandes from just outside the area. Another good stop at his near post denied Harry Maguire’s headed effort. Great pass in build up for Brighton’s third

Marc Cucurella - 10

A fantastic performance. Showed great work rate, tenacity, and an insatiable hunger to win the ball. An early second half goal fired into the top corner was reward for a great all round performance.

Lewis Dunk - 8

Really composed at the back all game, unfazed by the presence of Ronaldo. Marshalled the defence, and proved too much for United to trouble.

Yves Bissouma- 7

Showed his usual composure and skill on the ball, and was not the least bit worried about pressure on the ball. Passed well and controlled the midfield alongside Caicedo.

Leandro Trossard- 8

A threat throughout the game. Maintained composed to pick the right ball, pulling it back to Cucurella who fired in the Brighton second. Showed great determination to bundle the Brighton fourth over the line, putting Brighton in dreamland.

Solly March- 8

Started the game very impressively, and was a danger down the right had side all game. His creativity and precise passing allowed Brighton to trouble United and put them on the back foot early in the game.

Moises Caicedo - 9

Great goal to give

Pascal Gross- 8

Had linked up well with March before the goal, and looked dangerous. Found himself free in the Brighton area, skipping past one challenge and lifting over De Gea’s outstretched leg to give Brighton a third with a very well taken goal.

Alexis Mac Allister- 7

Was busy in the final third, with neat passing allowing Brighton to build momentum and create the chances which gave them the resounding lead.

Danny Welbeck- 7

Whilst the striker did miss a couple of decent chances, his work rate and willingness to stretch the United defence allowed Brighton to really hurt their opponents, epitomised with the fourth goal in which Welbeck got in behind the United backline eventually finding Trossard who bundled in.

Adam Webster- 6

A solid cameo, showing his aerial ability, ultimately untroubled by a faltering United side.

Tariq Lamptey - 6

Little time on the pitch, but demonstrated his usual work rate and willingness to get forwards.

Neal Maupay - 6

Didn’t have a lot to work with in the few minutes he was on the pitch, but that didn’t stop him from pressing the United defence and trying to make a nuisance of himself.
