BURGESS HILL HERITAGE AND HISTORY ASSOCIATION: Come and join the members of Burgess Hill Heritage and History Association at their next meeting on Friday 13th May at Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road RH15 8DX. Chris Horlock will give a talk on “the Lost Theatres of Brighton”, the buildings, stars and shows of of the eleven full-sized, purpose-built theatres, only two of which survive. Doors open at 7.30pm and the talk starts at 8,00pm. Entrance costs £1.50 for members (including other societies) and £3.50 for visitors. Includes refreshments. The museum will also be open.

REPAIR CAFE: Burgess Hill Repair Cafe will be open again at the Kiln between 10.00am and 1.00pm on Saturday 14th May. Drop in with things to fix, or book an appointment at repaircafebh@gmail.com. Alternatively, book through Facebook at www.facebook. com/BHRepairCafe. The team of volunteers provide sharpening of garden tools, knives, etc, and mend electrical items and clothing, bags, etc. Leather and general repairs to return in June. Come and try the homemade cakes and tea, all on a donation basis.

GARDEN FETE: Local Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and

Rangers are holding a Garden Fete at Guide Hall, Station Road on Saturday 21st May from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Stalls, raffles and teas. Join them for a morning of fun!

WOWZER WEDNESDAY: Come down to St John’s Park on

1st June and enjoy the free inflatables. 11.00am to 3.00pm.

SENIOR CITIZENS’ TEA PARTY: A free Tea Party is being held for Burgess Hill senior citizens at St Wilfred’s Parish Centre on Saturday 4th June from 2.00pm to 4.30pm. Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with musical entertainment to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Booking required.
