Resource for ADHD
Dear Editor,
I am writing to introduce a valuable resource for women in our community who have been diagnosed with ADHD later in life.
"Heard" is a newly established Facebook group created to offer support and understanding to individuals like myself who have faced challenges with late diagnosis, medication shortages, long NHS waiting lists, and limited therapy options.
After experiencing the need for a supportive environment firsthand, I, along with Rebecca, embarked on the journey to establish a safe space where women, whether officially diagnosed or self-identified, can come together to share their stories and feel understood.
We wanted to serve as a safety net for those struggling, ensuring that no one feels alone in their experiences.
"Heard" aims to provide a platform where women can find solace, empowerment, and a sense of community in navigating the complexities of ADHD.
We will be organising meetings twice a month at the Cherry Tree Centre

Our goal is to offer a place where individuals can connect, support one another, and embrace their journeys with acceptance and compassion.
After our first meet I just know what we have to offer is so important and there is definitely a need in our local community!
We believe that by fostering an environment of understanding and camaraderie, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of women grappling with ADHD and its associated challenges.
We invite all those who may benefit from this supportive network to join us in building a community where every voice is "heard."
Thank you for considering sharing our initiative with your readers, as we strive to create a space that nurtures hope, resilience, and unity among women with ADHD.
