Afghan hell for Angelina after rebels round on her

-

TERRIFIED Angelina Jolie has told how she feared for her life after being ambushed by rebels during a hellish trip to Afghanistan.

The Tomb Raider babe ( above) was visiting the war-torn nation as part of her role as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

But the shaken-up 36-year-old says she was lucky to escape with her life after being targeted by Taliban fighters while holed-up in a NATO command bunker.

She said: “I got there and they said, ‘They are angry that you are a woman and you are American and you are with UNHCR. You are the target. You are in danger’.

“And so they gave me a briefing and they said everybody must write their blood type down.

“I wrote a note to Brad in the process, and figured if anything happens, he’ll find it.

“I was fine, but then two weeks later they did attack the UN and they killed everyone in the bunker.”

The Salt actress has also visited Sierra Leone – with similarly harrowing results.

She confessed: “It was around the time when everybody was cutting arms off.

“It was just me and another woman and we had to go through a checkpoint, which was kids with guns.

“I realised this person was probably coked-up. I was very scared.”
